I decided that i was spending too much time on the internet and watching tv so i let my ign subscription expire ($70 a year saved right there) and deleted star trek deep space nine off of my dvr’s record list (2 hours a day 5 days a week on spike tv). Hopefully i’ll be able to stay off of ign but i really feel that i’m not that much into video games anymore i’m kindof the dreaded casual gamer that plays on my nintendo ds occassionally and barely uses his computer. Which is sad as i have a pretty nice machine still but i’d rather just get a mac mini or something.

After a very eventful 2 weeks of:

Realizing that i like Diana and the next day DTR’ing with her and making our friendship… more than a friendship
Learning 3 dances for Josiah and Alyia’s wedding
Becky passing out during the dancing because of the heat and having to call 911
Everyone being late to the wedding rehearsal and me almost running out of gas on the way there
The tremendous amount of last minute details that add up the few days before the wedding
My wedding outfit being quite… limp as far as my boot toppers were concerned and worrying whether or not they could get fixed
Worrying about how some of our friends would react to our relationship
Diana breaking her arm on our first “official” date with all the problems with insurance and getting the hospital run around.

I haven’t played a video game in 2 weeks and i have 9 hours of star trek recorded on my DVR, on the plus side i’ve been more into the word and have been more happy than i have been in a long time

Diana and i were heading out to black diamond on some bicycles for some exercise as well as some time alone together (since were officially dating now) and after we loaded up with some carbs and water we headed back the way we came. And on the first hill after i had powered up to the top i turn around and find out that Diana was not behind me and had in fact fallen down and broken her wrist. After 4 hours of insurance woe’s hospital waiting and cleaning/bandaging the wound we were released to go. She’s in a lot of pain and she insists that we still go on our date tomorrow but we’ll see how she is in the morning .

Well my friends won the contest! It’s pretty cool to know that even me with my pathetic voice acting skills was able to help them along and win $500 and some in-game prize. The video is below:

Well after a couple months of planning and A LOT of last minute details Josiah and Alyia Carrigan are on their honeymoon in northern Washington after almost a year of dating and a 4 month (not sure about it) engagement. All i have to say is that i am SO happy for them and SO happy that my duties as best man are over and that everything went pretty smoothly. There was a lot of last minute stress but overall i probably wouldn’t have traded it for anything.

I don’t really know what to say except that i’m happy for them and i liked how they ran their wedding with the renisance theme and their musical selections (besides butterfly kisses) not having a garter toss nor a boquet toss was fine and cutting the cake with a sword was just awesome . I’ve attached some pictures below without any descriptions because i just like them .

So yeah with my best friend getting married and other stuff going on in my personal life i haven’t/won’t have much time to update my blog untill probably the 17th or the 18th it’s not that i dont’ have the time it’s just that there is nothing worth writing about really. Anyways i’ve been enjoying the latest firefox 2.0 beta and i found out that the office on nbc has websiodes released during the summer for us to watch

Today is microsofts “patch tuesday” in which they release security patches for the general public if you don’t have automatic updates turned on (which you should) you should run windows update which in internet explorer is under the tools menu.

Also i went and saw pirates of the carribean 2 with diana today as my sister bailed out because she didn’t think she’d make it to class on time.  I had fun watching the movie laughing at all the rum jokes and jumping at the disgusting/startling parts.  Overall it was entertaining and a solid 2.5 star movie (out of 4 stars).

Alyia,Diana,Josiah and i got together for a reunion hike which we had been talking about since our hike(s) we did together in hawaii [1] [2]. We hiked granite mountain which is apart of the alpine lakes wilderness area and is a REALLY tough hike. It was 8 miles round trip and the 4 up was a total mental battle telling my friends as well as myself that i had to summit as i had failed the last 2 times i tried when i was with my family.

Eventually after a lot of work we lost the trail once we could see the peak which has a fire lookout with a ranger in it with binoculars a radio and enough water and propane to cook for himself and his friend and his son. Anyways since we had lost the trail we had to do some boulder hopping to get to the top which while a lot of fun was also pretty never racking as one slip and we’d be bashing something against the rocks that would most likely hurt for days. After going to the ranger station and saying hi to the ranger we headed back down the mountain which like most hikes since were not panting and concentrating on just getting to the top we played hiking games like smoosh, telling stories, making jokes, whining about how much we hurt, etc.

Josiah probably came out the worst with his whole lower body in pain with alyia in second with her legs in pain and diana in third with her twisting her ankle 2 times. Personally i just got sick after the hike as i got home at 12:30 fell asleep at 1:00 am and got up at 4:30 to goto work the next day . Missing that much sleep is not good for ones immune system and by sick i mean miserable not necessairly sick although it’s probably a good idea to cancel my blood appointment.

we went to the rock which was good because josiah had been craving pizza for 2 days
then bought drinks at top foods including mead which was delicious
then we watched batman begins which josiah had never seen and had a toast/roast int he middle with the mead

I think i already told just about everybody already in RL but anyways we met at jonathan’s because it’s a good neutral place that everyone know how to get there but one person and waited for josiah since his father mad him an hour late because they were working 2 hours away and didn’t leave on time. Once josiah was close we went to the rock wood fired pizza which was apparently a good idea considering josiah had been craving pizza for 2 days.

After the rock we picked up refreshments at the grocery store went to jonathans and stole his tv and dvd player so we could watch movies at josiah’s girlfriends appartment. I brought 4 movies and out of all 4 “man movies” he picked batman begins which he had never seen before. Halfway through the movie at a good stopping point we had a toast/roast of Mead for josiah. The mead was delicious and after reading the previous article i guess it isn’t honey wine but something completely different. After that we finished the movie and everyone headed home. Overall a low key low cost moral bachelor party.
