No i’m not a real journalist now someone leaked the login to their site which happens to be the login of the PR company they use. Getting access to high-rez screen shots of the wii and the ds lite was pretty cool other than that nothing too special.

Ign.com a site I have loyally subscribed ($30 a year) to since 2001 once again has locked me a paying subscriber out of their site for the duration of E3. This is the second time they are using this live streaming middleware called “livewire” what it wants me to-do is install DRM so they can control the content I watch and prevent me from dumping their video steam to my hard drive not something I was planning on doing anyways. It’s pretty asinine that I a company I have given over $150 to in the past 5 years would treat me a paying customer like a criminal trying to steal services I’ve already paid for! Last year they gave me a $5 credit on my account which helped a little but it doesn’t make up for the fact that I had to spend that money on their competitor. Now some of you might ask me why I don’t just jump ship and use their competitor all the time and the reason is that ign has one of the top 10 most visited message boards on the internet and is thus a great resource as well as a location of a lot of my on-line “friends.” In the past 5 years I’ve made over 20,000 posts there (compare that to the 400+ blog posts) and have met a lot of cool people that I’ll never meet in real life and don’t plan on. Once again ign thanks for screwing me out of the services I pay you for.

So the premise of the game was 2 staff “volunteers” (the students around me volunteered me) were given plastic sacks to cover their clothes. Then our faces where covered in whip cream and then students shot marshmallows at me. 1 landed on my face and 2 landed on kims my face was melting the whip cream so it was falling off and i was getting fairly chlostophobic in the beginning when i couldn’t breath because i had 1 inch of whip covering my nose and mouth. My eyes also got really irritated after i opened them for some reason, anyways it was kind of fun and I’m glad i gave my phone to Fedex (screen name and as a minor his parents don’t want me using his real name) so he could take pictures.

I don’t really have any way to celebrate but at least akismet “wins” unlike what happened at the mariners game last night :p

IGN: DS Lite in June

Nintendo of America revealed today that it will launch the redesigned Nintendo DS Lite system this June 11th. When it lands on shelves next month, the DS Lite will ship in one color — Polar White — and retail for 129.99, the same price as current Nintendo DS systems.

Hopefully EBgames will let me trade in my my old nintendo ds for credit towards a new one :D.
