Kudos to logitech tech support

Posted April 10th, 2006 in General by wormeyman

After spending 27 minutes (long distance) on the phone with tech support they will be sending me a new logitech mx510 “gaming” mouse to replace the current one which has intermittent right click issues. I had to debug a lot of things over the phone with them but after satifying that the mouse was broken they are sending me a new one for free and i don’t have to ship my old one i can just throw it away when the new one arrives!

My favorite miliblogger talks about all the cool stuff on his M4 assault rifle.

The coolest thing i saw was when he was talking about the different aim points that he and his squad can project on to targets via infrared so that they can communicate on who is going to hit who. Quite interesting i wonder what kindof cool tech special forces get :O

Well counterstrike source finally took the top spot in my gaming addiction

I used to be addicted to ut2004 and it was my top spot for forever but due to an xfire glitch it wasn’t counting my cs:s gaming untill i reformatted one time and that seemed to fix the problem but xfire in all it’s genous was tracking my bf2 playing as the bf2 demo :p.

Is your digital camera taking blurry pictures or warped colors? Then you might be inline to fix it.

As i was reading this months maximum pc i read an article about how sony manufactured some bad CCD’s before 2004 and that there is a list at the link above for the affecte models. Unfortunately my Minolta dimage e223 is not on that list and has always taken blurry pictures :( .

Happy birthday to my blog!

Posted April 7th, 2006 in General by wormeyman

It’s 2 years old!

So lets see 2 years ago when i moved from livejournal to a real blog i never imagined that i’d have a PR person comment in one of my posts to correct something i said or that blog spam would become prolific. Nor would i imagine how far my traffic has increased nor would i ever imagine that i’d make it to the 1st page of search results (even if it is msn). Also i’ve made quite a few leeps in my blog software i started at livejournal then moved to bBlog eventually being on the dev team as a documentation manager. After all of the developers quit but the founder of the project i found my excuse to leave the project that i was looking for as bBlog has pretty much 0 spam protection as well as a really slow release cycle. Now while my post quality/length hasn’t improved very much apparently people still read this site from some reason espically since i started updating at least once every day (i still miss one everyonce in a while espically on the weekend). March was definately my most successful month of prodcutivity with 51 posts and and enough page hits to make most emo myspace kids cry after all i’m the 1,420,465th most visited site acording to alexa :p.

Overall i’m glad that i haven’t burnt out of blogging (a short post every day isn’t too hard) and plan to continue the site for at least march 2007 were i have to decide whether or not to renew my domain name which i plan on doing.

coke blak is crazy delicious

So it’s been sitting in the store for 24 hours till today which was the street date for our store. After purchasing it and taking the product home and letting it cool for 3 hours i opened one up and took a taste. And i really really like it, the “fusion beverage” can best be described as vanilla+coke+cofee and the combination comes out tasting very good. Overall i’d have to reccommend it to you guys minus the stupid name :p

Performancing Firefox 1.2 Beta Released

New improvments include ftp support (integrated ftp upload) and basic metrics chart viewing i can definately see the image upload being a big boon to productivity in that i only have to use my browser to blog and not use my browser and my ftp program.

On second thought i’m not going naked today

Posted April 4th, 2006 in General by wormeyman

http://naked.dustindiaz.com/

Today is CSS naked day in which web developers/website owners are encouraged to remove all CSS styling to promote webstandards and show that while not pretty my site is quite usable without styling. While i think it’s a neat idea i dont’ need to change my site everytime a new fad or trend comes along anyways i provided some link love and that’s good enough for me :D

Wow i am sore!

Posted April 3rd, 2006 in General by wormeyman

I (tried) to play ultimate yesterday and ended up with like 1 score and 2 assists but my hips, legs, feet, and chest hurt the day after it’s obvious that i haven’t been running to keep in shape in the off season. I’m looking foward to hiking season starting up again but man ohh man running hurts right now.
