I got a new toy

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

I recently purchased a used tv a panasonic pv-ss2710 and a Nintendo Gamecube. The Gamecube is pretty fun i’m trying to play 4 games simultaneously which is quite a challenge for me as i like to beat one game befor moving onto the next but the plug and play is a nice feature for me right now as i’m getting quite frustrated with my pc. The tv is pretty sweet as it includes a 30gb hard drive and a lifetime replaytv subscription. I’m currently recording 5 shows but when january starts and the sci-fi channel and 24 resume i’ll be recording 9 shows (8 if i decide to kill mythbusters). So i might have to be a geek and upgrade the harddrive ;). Anyways enough fragments and disjointed thoughts my poor-grammar update is done for now.

Pictures of the concert

Friday, October 7th, 2005

This is us waiting in line for the concert in the childrens wing before they let us into the main hall

A picture of me (on the right) and vinnie (on the left) waiting in the hall

Picture of the setup on the stage waiting for the show to start

A shakey picture?

David Crowder Key-taur (spelling?)

Attempted picture of the underwear* on stage.

Better picture of underwear on stage it’s the lump in the center>

*Ok the story is this:

A group of us arrived very early to the concert (2 hours) and when we were let in we had an additional hour before the concert so a guy in the group next to us decided that he was going to use the churces showers and towles that were provided in the mens restroom to take a shower. His friends in their infiniate maturity stole his boxer shorts and hid them on stage under a rug and when david crowder came out to sing they quickly lifted the rug up and tossed the underwear on stage (luckily security didn’t see a thing) and when David Crowder came out to open the song he stared at the boxer shorts for like 10 seconds and then just started the song anyways it was definately a unique experience.

I got a new bible!

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

Ahh how exciting i now have one less excuse to not read it i following tradition/what i’m comfortable with got the Life application niv study bible. I purchased it for two reasons one because it was on sale ($30 and coupons got it cheaper AND my mom ended up buying it for me) and two because i really like the layout of it, the layout is smooth and the margins not to small or too large i like the fact that not everythign is outlined in a box like my old bible. I’ll of course continue to keep my digital NIV/KJV on my pda but i hope to be using a “real” bible more often.

Well scratch the upgrade

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005

Well I decided just to scratch the upgrade for now while it was a great deal and would have worked if things fell into place things DIDN’T so I’m going to go to frys within my 15 days return time (computer parts are 15 days due to the fast pace of technological change) and get a nice $250 credit on my card and buy the parts on-line sometime down the road where I’ll at least know what I’m getting.

In addition tomorrow I am going to go donate blood with my mother.

Incredibly frustrating compouter build

Monday, October 3rd, 2005

So i managed to snag a great deal on an athlon 64 3500 w/ motherboard but like all computer/car/house upgrades and repairs it has ended up costing a lot more than i had hoped for basically my computer fans spin but no video comes out of my monitor i’ve tried all i know how to do and now i’m kindof sitting here frustrated asking some other tech savy people i know for help. I’m MUCH more ‘net savvy than computer hardware savvy so i’m really at a loss here i can build my own computer but that doesn’t mean i enjoy it :(

Ohh and this has been the most expensive weekend in a while:

$209 cpu+mobo
$50 cpu fan and thermal pse
$200 rent
$230 new car tires

and i might have to spen $80 or so to get a better mobo :(
